Bame Tehran

Bame Tehran (means: Roof of Tehran) is a great place in the Alborz mountains to enjoy the fresh air away from the city center. Many locals like to go there too, to take a break from busy everyday life. Start with an enjoyable walk and watch the city in the silence of the night. Beside the healthy environment, there are plenty of restaurants, cafes and fast food places to satisfy your stomach with Iranian and international dishes. Some famous ones that we suggest are: Bame Tehran restaurant with wooden seats, Chopin restaurant that offers you main dishes and special salads, Florence restaurant has Italian and Iranian foods and Rosha restaurant. Try barbecued fish and chicken!

Also, you can find booths where you can buy training suits, sport apparels, hiking gear and equipment, and even flower pots and plants. Bame Tehran is a great place to spend time doing different exercises, for all people either athletes or not.

Touchal gondola

An important attraction of Bame Tehran is a gondola that includes 7 stations to reach the top. There are also buses from Bame Tehran to transfer people to the first station. Hikers who go to the top can use the gondola to come down. In winter, skiers use it to reach the ski resorts. Everybody can buy tickets and get on the gondolas. Here are the types of tickets:

1- Line one, 100,000 Rials for: Staition 1 to station 2.

2- Line two, 150,000 Rials for: Station 1 to station 5.

3- Line three, 150,000 Rials for: Round way, station 1 to station 2

4- Line four, 250,000 Rials for: Round way, station 1 to station 5

5- Line five, 350,000 Rials for: Round way station 1 to station 7

Remember, Telecabin is open the whole week apart from Mondays.

Bungee jumping

40 meter jumping over Tehran City can give you a wonderful adrenaline kick. It is possible to take immediate training for all ages. Beware that only men and people over 15 years can jump. You can jump from 17:00 to 23:00 year-round. The price is 550,000 Rials.

What is the best time to go?

It's better to choose the nighttime as you can enjoy the view of Tehran. Usually Thursday and Fridays tend to be very busy, so HiPersia advise to go during the other days.

Getting there:

The best option is to take a taxi: ask the driver to take you to Bame Tehran-Velenjak. The approximate price from the city center up to there is about 200,000 Rials. Also, there is a public parking there, the cost is about 40,000 -50,000 Rials for about 2 hours.
